Chapter Eighteen

The nipping and twisting of my skin began soon after the slapping, but this is mainly when we’re having sex. She has become even more wild and most of the sexual act is done in a hostile manner. This is only on her behalf, not mine. There’s nothing remotely loving or enticing about being with her in bed anymore.

She glares at me through gritted teeth when she reaches her release. Even though I know the intense pleasure is pulsating through her body it’s as though she hates me for making her enjoy it so much. She twists and nips the skin on any part of my body savagely until I yelp in pain. Which strangely seems to satisfy her just as much.

Last night we’d had supper outside in the garden sitting at our new table eating salmon fillets in the lovely sunshine. And she’d seemed so normal. We were just like we’d been at home in the cottage. So together. So us. She’d even perked her tongue out at me. A little sign that only I have ever known. It reminded me of how we used to be.

But sadly, it hadn’t lasted long. When we were in the throes of pleasing each other, she’d roughly hurt me again. I’d been furious and had taken her to task. Although she did apologise, she’d told me I was a big softy.

I’m standing in the shower cubicle now inspecting my body in the mirror. My member looks okay, and the assault, because let’s face it that’s what it was, doesn’t appear to have caused any injury. It’s not swollen but is still a little sore to touch. I sigh, was my reaction a little over the top? But all the same, I peeve, she shouldn’t have done it.

I look at the rest of my body following this week’s sessions. I’m calling them sessions now because the demanding sex and pain she inflicts on me is like a form of torture. I’ve got to the stage that the fear of her assault, and the trauma I know I will suffer is more off-putting than the desire to be with her.

Whereas last week I’d felt edgy around her now I feel downright uncomfortable. I am tense most of the time that she’s in the same room and flinch when she touches me. When she calls my name, my skin prickles and on a couple of occasions I’ve felt the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. I sigh heavily knowing this is not the right way to be with my wife. I shake my head unable to believe this crazy situation.

I turn around in front of the mirror and see the skin is bruised on my left buttock and lower back where she twisted her fingers hard into my flesh on Monday. My balls are red and tender after an earlier attack and I dry them carefully with a towel. I peer closer into the mirror and see three big purple love-bites on my neck and shoulder.
